IES/ESE (Engineering Services Examination) UPSC conduct karti hai — yeh GATE se completely independent exam hai. State engineering services ka advantage: apne home state mein posting milti hai — Central services mein all-India transfer hota hai. Exam typically State PSC ke through hota hai — General Studies + Technical Subject. Kuch states (UP, MP, Rajasthan) mein Hindi mein exam hota hai jo Hindi medium students ke liye advantage hai.
