Bahut saari guides exam preparation ke baare mein hain — lekin selection ke baad kya hota hai, yeh koi nahi batata. Final result aane ke baad document verification, medical test, joining order — ek poora process hai jo 1-6 months le sakta hai. Is article mein hum step by step batayenge ki selection ke baad kya karna hai, kaunse documents chahiye, probation kya hai, aur pehli posting mein kya expect karein.
Selection Ke Baad Ka Process — Step by Step
Final result ke baad yeh sequence hota hai (exam ke type par depend karta hai): (1) Document Verification (DV), (2) Medical Examination, (3) Training (agar applicable hai), (4) Joining Order issue hona, (5) Reporting at posting location, (6) Joining formalities complete karna.
SSC CGL mein result ke baad DV hota hai, phir medical, phir allocation of departments (preferences ke hisaab se), phir joining order. UPSC mein result ke baad training hoti hai (LBSNAA mein foundation course), phir posting. Railway mein result ke baad DV + medical ek saath hota hai, phir joining order.
Timeline: Result se joining tak usually 2-6 months lagta hai. Kuch cases mein 1 saal bhi lag jaata hai — especially agar legal challenges ya vacancy issues hain.
Joining Ke Liye Zaroori Documents
- Joining Order: Department se issued joining order/appointment letter — original le jaana.
- Educational Certificates: 10th, 12th, Graduation, Post Graduation — original + 4 attested photocopies.
- Caste / EWS / PwBD Certificate: Category certificate — original + copies.
- Medical Fitness Certificate: DV ke waqt ya separately medical test hota hai — medical fit certificate le jaana.
- Character Certificate: Latest character certificate — police verification ya gazetted officer se attested.
- Aadhaar Card + PAN Card: Salary account aur tax ke liye PAN card mandatory hai.
- Bank Account Details: Salary ke liye bank account chahiye — SBI ya designated bank mein account open karwao agar nahi hai.
- Passport Size Photos: 10-12 photos — har form mein lagti hain.
- Relieving Letter: Agar pehle kahi kaam kar rahe the (government ya private) toh relieving letter / experience certificate.
- Attestation Form: Gazetted Officer se attested form — yeh joining ke time milta hai fill karne ke liye.
Probation Period — Kya Hai Aur Kitna Hota Hai
Naye government employee ko probation period mein rakha jaata hai — yeh trial period hai jismein aapki performance monitor hoti hai. Probation successfully complete karne ke baad aap confirmed employee ban jaate ho.
Central Government mein probation period usually 2 saal hota hai. State government mein 1-2 saal. Railway mein 2 saal. Banking mein 1-2 saal. Probation mein aapko poori salary milti hai — salary mein koi difference nahi hota. Lekin kuch benefits jaise LTC (Leave Travel Concession) probation ke baad milte hain.
Probation period mein kya hota hai: (1) Annual Confidential Report (ACR) likhi jaati hai aapke supervisor dwara, (2) Departmental exam pass karna pad sakta hai (some posts mein), (3) Conduct aur performance satisfactory hona chahiye. Agar probation mein performance unsatisfactory hai toh probation extend ho sakta hai ya rare cases mein termination bhi ho sakta hai — lekin yeh bahut rare hai.
First Posting Location
Pehli posting kahan hogi — yeh sabse bada sawaal hota hai. Central government jobs mein posting anywhere in India ho sakti hai. State government jobs mein posting usi state mein hogi — lekin kisi bhi district mein.
SSC CGL mein department allocation ke time preferences poochhi jaati hain — Income Tax, Customs, Postal, etc. Lekin preference guarantee nahi hai — merit rank aur vacancy ke basis par allocation hota hai. Top rankers ko usually preferred department milta hai.
Railway mein zone allocation hota hai — aapne form mein jo zone prefer kiya tha us zone mein try karta hai post karne ka, lekin vacancy ke hisaab se kahi bhi ho sakta hai. Transfer ke liye usually 3 saal ka minimum service period chahiye.
Important: Pehli posting mein mann na lage toh bhi join karo — probation complete hone ke baad transfer request kar sakte ho. Joining se mana karna matlab naukri jaana.
GPF / NPS Enrollment
2004 ke baad join karne wale sabhi Central Government employees NPS (National Pension System) mein enrolled hote hain. Purane employees GPF (General Provident Fund) mein hain — ab naye employees ke liye GPF nahi hai.
NPS mein aapki basic salary + DA ka 10% automatically deduct hota hai aur government bhi 14% contribute karti hai (2024 se badhakar 14% kiya gaya hai, pehle 10% tha). Yeh paisa retirement par milega as pension corpus. NPS mein equity + government bonds mein invest hota hai — returns market-linked hain.
Joining ke time PRAN (Permanent Retirement Account Number) allot hoga — yeh aapka NPS account number hai. Online login karke apna NPS balance aur investment details dekh sakte ho (npscra.nsdl.co.in). Nominee bhi register karna padta hai — wife/husband/parents ka naam.
Pay Fixation — Salary Kaise Calculate Hoti Hai
7th Pay Commission ke under Central Government employees ki salary pay matrix ke hisaab se hoti hai. Har post ka ek pay level hai (Level 1 se Level 18 tak) aur har level mein pay cells hain.
Example: SSC CGL ka Tax Assistant Level 4 mein aata hai — basic pay Rs 25,500 se start hoti hai. SSC CHSL ka LDC Level 2 mein aata hai — basic pay Rs 19,900 se start. Railway Group D Level 1 mein hai — basic pay Rs 18,000.
Total salary = Basic Pay + DA (Dearness Allowance — currently ~50% of basic) + HRA (House Rent Allowance — 8-24% based on city) + TA (Transport Allowance) + other allowances. So agar basic Rs 25,500 hai toh in-hand salary approximately Rs 40,000-52,000 hoti hai (city par depend karta hai).
Annual increment: Har saal 1st July ko 3% increment milta hai basic pay par. MACP (Modified Assured Career Progression) ke under 10, 20, 30 saal ke baad pay level upgrade hota hai agar promotion nahi mila toh.
Leave Rules — Chhuttiyon Ka Hisaab
Government job ki sabse badi perk hai leave rules — itni chhuttiyan private sector mein kabhi nahi milti. Yeh Central Government ke leave rules hain (state rules thode alag ho sakte hain):
- Casual Leave (CL): 8 din per year. Half-day CL bhi le sakte ho. CL carry forward nahi hoti — saal khatam toh khatam. CL mein salary normal milti hai.
- Earned Leave (EL): 30 din per year (15 din har 6 months mein credit hoti hai). EL accumulate hoti hai — maximum 300 din tak. Retirement ke time unused EL ka encashment milta hai (lump sum payment).
- Half Pay Leave (HPL): 20 din per year. Medical ya personal reasons ke liye. HPL mein aadhi salary milti hai.
- Commuted Leave: HPL ko convert karke poori salary le sakte ho — lekin 2 HPL = 1 Commuted Leave.
- Maternity Leave: 180 din (6 months). 2 bacchon tak. Full salary milti hai.
- Paternity Leave: 15 din. Child birth ya adoption ke time.
- Child Care Leave (CCL): 730 din (2 saal). 18 saal se kam age ke bacche ki care ke liye. Female employees ke liye. Full salary milti hai.
- Study Leave: 2 saal (730 din). Higher studies ke liye — permission se. Stipend milta hai.
- Gazetted Holidays: 14-17 gazetted holidays per year (Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Diwali, Holi, etc.).
- Restricted Holidays: 2 din choose kar sakte ho additional holidays ke liye given list se.
Service Book — Sab Record Rakho
Government naukri join karte hi aapki Service Book banti hai — yeh aapka official employment record hai. Joining date, posting details, promotions, leaves, ACR ratings — sab is book mein record hota hai. Retirement tak yeh book maintain hoti hai.
Important tip: Service Book ki personal copy bhi rakhna — kuch entries agar miss ho gayi toh baad mein pension ya promotion mein problem aati hai. Har transfer ke time, promotion ke time — Service Book update karwao aur verify karo ki entries sahi hain.
Joining ke time yeh sab karwana zaroori hai: (1) Service Book banwao, (2) NPS enrollment, (3) Bank account salary ke liye, (4) Group Insurance Scheme (CGEGIS) enrollment, (5) Health card (CGHS/State health scheme), (6) Nomination forms bharo (GPF/NPS, CGEGIS, Gratuity — nominee register karo). Yeh sab joining ke pehle hafte mein establishment section mein jaake karwao — delay mat karo.
