Medical Test Mein Kya Kya Check Hota Hai
Government job medical test mein usually yeh sab check hota hai: general physical examination, chest X-ray, blood test (CBC, blood sugar, blood group), urine test, eye test (visual acuity, color vision), hearing test, blood pressure, height-weight measurement, aur specific tests jo post ke requirement ke hisaab se hote hain.
Medical test government hospital mein hota hai — Railway hospital, Civil hospital, ya designated military hospital. Private hospital ka medical certificate accept nahi hota. Test usually 1 din mein complete ho jaata hai, lekin kuch cases mein specialist referral ke liye 2-3 din lag sakte hain.
Eye Test — Vision Standards
Eye test mein visual acuity (door ka dikhna), near vision, aur color vision check hota hai. Different posts ke liye different standards hain. Railway Group C/D mein usually Distant Vision 6/9 (better eye) aur 6/12 (worse eye) chahiye without glasses. SSC GD mein 6/6 aur 6/9 chahiye.
Color blindness sabse common rejection reason hai eye test mein. Ishihara test hota hai — colored dots wale plates dikhate hain jisme number ya pattern chhupa hota hai. Agar color blind ho (partial ya complete) toh Railway, Police, Defence mein reject ho sakte ho. Lekin desk jobs (SSC CGL Tax Assistant, Auditor) mein color vision relaxed hoti hai.
- Visual Acuity: Snellen chart se check hota hai — 6/6 matlab perfect vision, 6/9 matlab thoda kam but acceptable, 6/12 ya usse zyada matlab glasses chahiye.
- Color Vision: Ishihara plates se check hota hai. Partial color blindness mein kuch posts mil sakte hain, complete color blindness mein zyaadatar posts mein reject.
- Night Blindness: Defence aur Railway mein night vision bhi check hota hai.
- Squint (Bhengapan): Agar functional problem nahi hai toh usually accept hota hai.
Common Rejection Reasons
- Color Blindness: Sabse common reason — especially Railway, Police, Defence mein. Ishihara test fail karna matlab rejection.
- Flat Feet (Pes Planus): Police aur Defence mein flat feet check hote hain. Wet footprint test hota hai — agar sole ka arch nahi dikhta toh flat feet hai. Grade 1 flat feet mein usually accept hota hai, Grade 2-3 mein reject.
- Varicose Veins: Pairo ki nason mein sujan — standing jobs (Police, Railway) mein reject ho sakte ho. Early stage mein treatment possible hai.
- Knock Knees / Bow Legs: Ghutno ka andar ya bahar jhukna — Police aur Defence mein reject. Measurement hoti hai — specific degrees tak allowed hai.
- Tattoo: Visible tattoo (hands, face, neck) Defence mein reject. Body ke covered parts par small tattoo usually allowed. Police mein state ke rules alag hote hain.
- Hernia: Agar hernia hai toh surgery karwa lo pehle — operated hernia usually accept hota hai. Un-operated hernia mein reject.
- Piles / Fistula: Severe cases mein reject. Surgery ke baad usually accept.
- Dental Issues: Minimum 14 dental points chahiye. Missing teeth ya severe decay mein reject ho sakte ho.
- Hearing Loss: Whisper test ya audiometry hoti hai. 40 dB se zyada hearing loss mein reject.
Medical Test Ke Liye Kaise Prepare Karein
Medical test ke liye preparation 2-3 months pehle se shuru karo — especially agar koi known issue hai toh.
- Eye Test: Agar glasses lagte hain toh doctor se updated prescription lo. Contact lenses mat pehno test se pehle. Color vision ka test ghar par online Ishihara plates se try karo — agar fail ho rahe ho toh pehle se pata chal jayega.
- Blood Test: Test se 8-10 hours pehle kuch mat khao (fasting blood sugar ke liye). 2-3 din pehle se oily/junk food avoid karo. Adequate water piyo. Alcohol bilkul avoid karo test se 3-4 din pehle.
- Urine Test: Subah ka first urine sample best hota hai. Paani adequate amount mein piyo. Test se pehle sugary drinks avoid karo.
- Blood Pressure: Test se pehle tension mat lo — BP high aa sakta hai anxiety se. Raat ko achi neend lo. Test se 30 minute pehle deep breathing karo.
- General Fitness: Agar weight zyada hai toh 2-3 months mein reduce karo. BMI normal range mein hona chahiye. Regular exercise karo.
Medical Test Day — Kya Le Jaana Hai
- Call letter / Admit card (original + 2 photocopies)

- Glasses agar use karte ho (prescription bhi saath rakhna)

Re-Medical Process — Agar Unfit Aaye Toh
Agar medical mein "Temporarily Unfit" ya "Unfit" aata hai toh ghabrao mat — re-medical ka option hota hai. Usually 30-45 din ka time milta hai re-medical ke liye. Is beech mein treatment karwa sakte ho.
Re-medical mein sirf wohi test dobara hota hai jismein problem aayi thi — poora medical dobara nahi hota. Re-medical ek alag hospital mein hota hai (usually higher-level hospital). Agar re-medical mein bhi unfit aaye toh appeal ka option hota hai — Review Medical Board (RMB) ke paas. RMB ka decision final hota hai.
Important: Re-medical ke liye apne paas se koi private doctor ka certificate mat lao — sirf designated government hospital ka medical hi valid hota hai.
Post-wise Medical Standards
- Railway Group D / NTPC: Standard medical — 6/9 vision, color vision normal, no hernia, no flat feet. Relatively relaxed standards.
- SSC GD Constable / CAPF: Strict standards — 6/6 and 6/9 vision (without glasses), no color blindness, no flat feet, no varicose veins, no tattoo on visible body parts.
- Police (State): Similar to SSC GD but state-wise variations. UP Police mein tattoo allowed nahi hai, Maharashtra mein small tattoo allowed. Physical standards bhi alag hote hain.
- Defence (Army/Navy/Air Force): Sabse strict medical. Perfect vision chahiye fighter pilot ke liye (6/6 both eyes without correction). Ground duty mein thoda relaxed. No color blindness at all.
- Desk Jobs (SSC CGL, Banking): Relaxed medical — glasses allowed, minor issues accepted. Color vision relaxed for most posts. Basically functional fitness chahiye.
