SSC JE Exam Overview

Paper I (Computer Based): 200 marks, 200 questions, 2 hours. GI+Reasoning (50) + GA (50) + Technical (100).
Paper II (Descriptive): 300 marks, Conventional type, 2 hours. Purely technical.
Minimum qualifying marks: 30% (UR), 25% (OBC/EWS), 20% (SC/ST/PwD).
Posts: Junior Engineer in CPWD, CWC, MES, and other central departments.
Salary: Level 6 (₹35,400-1,12,400). In-hand: ₹45,000-55,000 approximately.

Reasoning (50 marks): Standard SSC level — Analogies, Series, Coding, Matrix, Blood Relations. Score 40+.
General Awareness (50 marks): Current affairs (30%) + Static GK (30%) + Basic Science (40%). Target 35+.
Technical (100 marks): This decides your selection. Focus maximum time here.
Time management: Reasoning (25 min) → GA (20 min) → Technical (75 min).
